Whalers Alumni Return to Connecticut
|
|
|
|
Howard Baldwin and Whalers Sports & Entertainment are proud to
present a day of celebration for the team who’s spirit never left the heart
of Connecticut. The Whalers Reunion and Fan Fest will be a fun filled day
for the entire family. Everyone from the oldest of fans to the youngest
will be able to enjoy the inaugural event being held at Rentschler Field.
The Whalers Reunion and Fan Fest will celebrate the history of the
Whalers and publicly reunite a wide range of Whalers Alumni for the
first time, dating back to the days of the New England Whalers. Alumni
set to make an appearance include, Kevin Dineen, Ron Francis, Joel
Quenneville and Mr. Hockey® Gordie Howe as well as a slew of other
former stars. Fans will be presented with the opportunity to meet the
former Whalers, take pictures and have them sign Whalers memorabilia.
Witness history as Howard Baldwin and Andre Lacroix are honored by
being inducted into the World Hockey Association’s (WHA) Hall of Fame
and see the U.S. premiere of the brand new WHA Documentary by Tim
Gassen of the WHA Hall of Fame!
You don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to spend the day
surrounded by fellow Whalers fans, reminiscing about the days when the
Brass Bonanza rang loud and clear throughout the streets of Downtown
Hartford.
The Fan fest event is much more than a Whalers event, however:
UConn, the Hartford Colonials (UFL), the New Britain Rock Cats, the CT
Tigers, the New England Sports Museum, dozens of sports memorabilia
dealers, the CT Science Center, the Discovery Museum, Mystic Seaport
and the Mark Twain house have all gotten into the spirit and signed on
to make this a one of a kind, can’t miss event.

There will be a FEE for all items wished to be autographed.
Fee:
* Hockey cards, Hats, T-shirts, Pucks and Pictures: $10
* Posters, Sticks and Jerseys: $20
*The free official Whalers Sports and Entertainment Poster will be signed
without fee*
There will be a 4 item limit for all outside memorabilia (or memorabilia
purchased at the Fan Fest) wished to be brought to the autograph line for
signing.
**You are only allowed to have the player
sign ONE piece of memorabilia

purchase the day of the Fan Fest. No other items will be available
for him to sign. There will also be an additional signing fee to be
released next week, which will include a personalized autograph
and picture with Mr. Hockey®.
